The “L” Spa Gives Back over $30,000!

We are always looking for creative and inspiring ways to “pay it forward”. Every month, we randomly draw for our “Member of the Month”. In recognition and appreciation of their support, we ask them to provide us the name of their “Charity of Choice”. The L Spa & Wellness Centre writes a cheque to that charity for 100% of that member’s monthly membership dues.

Charity of Choice $2157 and increasing monthly!

Alheimer’s Society $59 Miracle Foundation $59
Canadian Cancer Society $128 GP Regional College $75
EMS $69 The Warriors $158
Relay For Life $69 PARDS $138
United Way $122 Autism Research $59
MS Society $59 GP Auto Legacy Fund $59
SPCA $454 Suicide Prevention $59
Cool Aid Society $59 Sunrise House $60
Juvenile Diabetes $50 Children’s Wish Foundation $75

Charitable Events and Local Campaigns $28,358 and counting!

Throughout the year we pride ourselves in contributing to the community through “random acts of giving”. One example is our “Lotions ‘n Potions ~ Basics and Bags” campaign wherein we encouraged members of our spa and our facebook community to spring clean. From under bathroom sinks and vanity drawers to hall closets, collecting personal grooming needs like shampoos, gels, and hairsprays; to journals, craft supplies and towels; to overnight bags, backpacks and purses – all in support of our local womens’ shelter – The Odyssey House.

Other local annual campaigns we’ve become involved in include: “Ladies In Red ~ Heart & Stroke Foundation” and “Celebrate Under The Stars” for STARS (Search Trauma Air Rescue). For every member who signs up during those specific fundraising campaigns, we contribute $10/month of their membership dues, each and every month for the lifetime of their membership to that charity.
